My favorite thing at the end of the summer and the start of the season is getting our young men on a bus and going to Impact. There were many wins that night, and they were eternal.

At Impact, you know they are going to share the word and it brings you together as a team.  And, for us as a school and as a team, it means guys are getting saved.

It’s not about how high on the ladder I can climb or having your name on something, it’s about these individuals, these kids that many won’t know the name of until we get to eternity and that name is in the Lamb’s book of Life.

This has been an amazing journey for me to kind of figure out how I can influence kids to open themselves up to the Word and to the Gospel, having been a high school athlete here in the area. And this has been a great opportunity for me to share my story to kids that had an upbringing similar to the upbringing I had, here in the community.

The reality is we are not going to finish the Great Commission on Sundays only. It requires field houses, ball fields, parks, and gymnasiums all over. People getting in the game. And this is what makes me so excited about what God is doing through these coaches and what I am seeing God do through Impact.

Impact is new, it’s fresh, it’s proven to work.  It’s worked at our church, it’s worked at other churches. And I believe, with all my heart, that this would work in any setting. I would urge you to consider hosting an Impact event.
